Christopher Young has received numerous awards and nominations throughout his celebrated career. He was honored at the Temecula International Film & Music Festival with the award for Outstanding Career Achievement in Film Composing. He has been nominated for two Emmys® (Norma Jean and Marilyn, Last Flight Out) and received both Golden Globe® and Broadcast Film Critics Association Award nominations for The Shipping News. The composer created memorable action scores for two Marvel movies: Spiderman 3 and Ghostrider. His spine-tingling score for The Grudge propelled the film to a sleeper hit and his recent score to Drag Me To Hell has made several film music site listings as Best Score for 2009.
Two years ago, Young received BMI’s highest honor, The Richard Kirk Career Achievement Award. In addition to his busy film-composing schedule, Young is imparting his knowledge to a new generation of film composers. He has taught at USC since the early 90s and bought a house to offer free residency to fledgling young composers because he never forgot his own personal struggles.

But will two people who have met the right person at exactly the wrong time be able to give love another chance?
As each struggles with the hurt of love and loss, they realize that in order to move forward, they need to let go of the past. And if they can, they'll find that, sometimes, love happens when you least expect it. Universal Pictures presents Love Happens, available on DVD and Blu-Ray on February 2, 2010. The original soundtrack will be available at www.lalalandrecords.com and in stores on February 23rd.

Kidman, Sandler, Aniston to team for slapstick flick

Nicole Kidman will team up with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston for the comedy Just Go For It.
The Hollywood Reporter says Sandler, the comic star of Funny People, will play a man who recruits a woman to pose as his soon-to-be-divorced wife in order to woo the woman of his dreams.
Aniston will play the fake wife in the flick, which was originally titled Pretend Wife.
Kidman will take a cameo role, while Sports Illustrated cover model Brooklyn Decker, 22, will play the object of Sandler's desire.
Dennis Dugan, who has worked with Sandler many times, will direct.
Kidman is no stranger to comedy, having played comic roles in The Stepford Wives and Bewitched.

Gerard Butler Laughs Off Jennifer Aniston, Jam Rumors

Gerard Butler was romantically linked to Jennifer Aniston while they were filming their new comedy, "The Bounty Hunter." With the film about to be released on March 19, those rumors will inevitably be brought up again, and Butler said he just needs to keep a sense of humor about the whole thing.
On the red carpet of Cosmopolitan's 2010 Fun Fearless Males party, MTV News asked the Scottish actor whether he was fun or fearless in the upcoming flick. "I have to be both [in the movie], and in my life I have to be both," he said. "I just kind of have to be on a lot."
And following his own advice to laugh at the gossip about himself, he dished about which rumors happen to be his favorites. "I read a rumor somewhere saying that I was actually a woman," he said. "There was one, apparently ... I was just talking about Jen, saying, 'I'm not a gimp,' going on about ... how I want all these other women in my life.
"Then there was one about jam," he continued. "Apparently, I like to go into cafés and order scones and take out my mother's homemade jam. And I take it with me everywhere. And in the same article, it said apparently Johnny Depp likes to travel with his own toilet seat."
While it's hard to imagine anyone not laughing at that kind of gossip, Aniston herself explained to "Access Hollywood" last month that his easygoing attitude is what made them friends. "Gerry's the most unpretentious guy," she said. "He's a guy's guy, but he's absolutely the most lovely and sort of self-deprecating [person], and just what you see is what you get."
