John Mayer: "It's Time That Somebody Stands up" for Jennifer Aniston

 John Mayer defended Jennifer Aniston and described their recent breakup as "the most normal thing in the world" as he spoke to a group of photographers in the SoHo area of New York City Saturday.
"If you guys are going to run stuff and run every lie under the sun, have somebody stand up for somebody," the singer challenged. "Have me as a man who ended a relationship stand here and write some truth. Have me stand up for somebody and write that Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I've ever met.
"She's one of the most lovely people I've ever met in my life and I'm going through something that's a very personal thing and you have to give that up," he said. "You have to give everything up because you can't have it all and it sucks."
"I'm sorry that the story's not interesting," the 30-year-old added. "But it's about time that somebody stands up for that girl and I think she's great." ... Read More ...

John Mayer Says He Ended Relationship With Jennifer Aniston

 Fox News reports John Mayer ended his relationship with Jennifer Aniston because they had "different chemistry," he told reporters Saturday after working out at an Equinox Gym in New York's SoHo neighborhood.
"People are different, people have different chemistry," said Mayer. "I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right."
And before the rumors begin, Mayer said firmly: "There's no lying, there's no cheating, there's no nothing."
He also offered praise for his ex.
"Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I have ever met."
The "Friends" actress, 39, divorced Brad Pitt four years ago; Mayer, 30, was previously linked to Jessica Simpson. Aniston's rep recently denied Star magazine's report that the actress is pregnant.

Rocker John Mayer has hinted that magazine reports claiming he is romancing Jennifer Aniston are true--and admits he loves the press attention he is getting as a result.
The pair was snapped embracing on a Miami beach last week, prompting speculation they are an item.
Mayer had refused to speak out about the rumors until Monday night--when he almost revealed all to reporters at New York's Costume Institute Gala.
The 30-year-old said of the tabloid claims, "You know what I did? I looked at it (the reports) and I said, 'That's about right.' What am I going to say, 'That's not me?'"

Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer Seen Holding Hands

Jennifer Aniston had lunch with John Mayer in a Miami restaurant that opened Friday afternoon just for them, and were later spotted holding hands after a lengthy dinner, People magazine reported.
Sitting across from each other in a booth at lunch, their heads were close together, and they were engaged in a private conversation, said Charles Bell, general manager of Michael's Genuine Food & Drink in the Miami Design District.
"I can't speculate on what kind of meeting it was but they looked happy and seemed to have a great time," he told People, adding that the couple shared dessert.
Later in the day, the two were seen at Casa Tua on South Beach. With his arm around her, Mayer, 30, and Aniston, 39, left the restaurant just before 1 a.m. When they returned to her hotel, they were seen holding hands. Jennifer Aniston will make a special appearance on the season finale of Oprah Winfrey's ABC reality hit Big Give.
On the episode — airing April 20 — contestants will be challenged to create "big gives" with no money and very little time.
Aniston — who just turned 39 — will announce "big news" on the show, according to a press release, but her role remains shrouded in secrecy.
